As Puffin editor between 1961 and 1980, Kaye Webb introduced a generation of children to good books, and, through the Puffin Club, established a community of engaged young readers. Webb revolutionised publishing for children, and her archive provide a fascinating insight into her life and work.
I think Kaye deserves her place in history. She did a lot whilst working as an editor and her contribution to children’s books remains unrivalled today.
